Michael Yoshikami, PHD, CFP. is the CEO of Destination Wealth Mamagement.  Founded in 1986., DWM is a San Francisco Bay Area-based independent firm that provides fee based wealth management services to institutional and individual investors. Dr. Yoshikami has appeared on CNBC TV in the United States, Asia, and Europe as well as CBS radio and other media outlets. The focus on the media appearances is to provide investors insight on current market and economic conditions. Michael is the author of the book “Your money, Your Future” focused on helping investors develop the right investment strategy for their goals. He publishes the weekly investment  focused newsletter “Common Sense” highlighting current investment and economic issues. Destination Wealth Management has over 1 Billion dollars in assets under management.

He has worked as a trader, analyst and consultant for firms including JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital. Following a move to California from London in 2015 with his family, he now serves the Walnut Creek and Lafayette communities as a financial advisor with the firm Edward Jones. He is a CFA charterholder and has a Masters degree in Finance from the London School of Economics.

    "Financial Elder Abuse" Joe’s practice focuses on financial elder abuse, conservatorships, and complex will and trust disputes.  Joe has expertise in cases involving will and trust contests and other actions seeking to invalidate trusts, wills, deeds, contracts, and other financial transactions based on forgery, lack of mental capacity, and undue influence.  Over the past 20 years, Joe has obtained multiple defense verdicts in trials representing trustees against actions alleging lack of capacity, undue influence, breach of fiduciary duty, forgery, and financial elder abuse.  Joe has also represented beneficiaries, elders, and their families in cases alleging lack of capacity, undue influence, fraud, forgery, misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, and financial elder abuse obtaining millions of dollars in judgments and favorable settlements for his clients throughout Northern California.   He is a board member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association Estate Planning and Probate Section, Past President of the Contra Costa County Bar Association Elder Law Section, Board Member of Contra Costa Senior Legal Services.  He has a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, and a B.A., Political Science, University of California at Santa Barbara.
