Speaker: Michael Townsend

The Financial Forum welcomes Michael Townsend, Vice President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at Charles Schwab, to the Event Center at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, July 17th. Please Join Schwab’s Washington Insider for an entertaining and informative discussion on how policy and political developments in the nation’s capital impact the markets. 

Mike will provide an update on current events in Washington and their implications for the policy agenda. He’ll discuss the latest developments in economic legislation, taxes, retirement savings, regulatory proposals, upcoming elections, and other timely issues and what they mean for the markets and individual investors.

Before joining Schwab in 2000, Michael worked at Powell Tate, Inc., a Washington, D.C., public affairs firm, and previously worked for two U.S. senators from Maine. He holds an M.A. in English from George Mason University and a B.A. in English from Bowdoin College.
